BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
Safe procedures relating to the resuscitation of adults from early recognition to the ABCDE assessment. Non-technical skills and post-resuscitation care. The principles for confirmation of cardiac arrest and industry high-quality CPR including safe defibrillation.
DEMENTIA AWARENESS
An understanding of how to support people with dementia by developing good communication and person-centred care in their own practice, within teams and within organisations. The nature and different types of dementia and the different ways the symptoms of dementia can be managed.
MEDICATION AWARENESS/MANAGEMENT AND SAFE HANDLING OF MEDICINE
Effectively moving and safely handling medication crucial to health and well-being of those who rely on it on a daily basis. This covers requesting prescriptions, maintaining records, storing administering and disposing of medication, self-medication and issues that might arise in the administrative of medication.
FIRST AID AT WORKPLACE
First aid at workplace training, confirms with HSE guidance, provides a comprehensive set to practical skills needed by first aider in most workplaces, giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.
